The report also tracks valuation development across 265 historical transactions (Europe and US, 2018–2026 YTD). Median EV/EBITDA held in a tight ~11.6–12.4x band from 2018 to 2022, spiked to 19.3x in 2023, reset to 11.8x in 2024, and has since recovered to 13.1x in 2025 and 15.4x in 2026 YTD — leaving current pricing above the pre-2023 baseline but below the 2023 peak.
